Slightly Longer Bio (with way too many cows):

Stephanie is an artist who paints animals, flowers, and abstract art, creates children’s books as an illustrator/author, and makes illustrations and patterns for licensing. She makes art that makes her happy and aims to share that joy with others. She hopes her colorful art and animals bring smiles, or a laugh, or something that makes people pause and take a second look.

Stephanie is originally from Minnesota, where the winters were cold and snowy, the summers were hot and mosquito-y, and there were lots of cows. Moo! She calls her home state Minne-SNOW-ta, but she's thinking about starting to call it Moo-nesota. Stephanie lived in New York City for many years, and currently lives in Delaware with her husband, where there are more cows (allegedly). She enjoys the milder winters and imagines what the world would be like if were filled with cows that acted like people. Stephanie is the illustrator of the picture book EWE AND AYE, written by Candace Ryan. EWE AND AYE stars a sheep and a lemur who both want to fly, but don't achieve their dream until they work together to make it possible. There are no cows in EWE AND AYE.

Stephanie is hoping there will be cows in her future books and likes to draw and paint cows into her artwork. You can never have too many cows in the art! Why does she like cows so much? Stephanie watched the very first episode of Sesame Street (according to her Mom). The show had a looooong segment about a trip to a dairy farm, and there were tons of cows! This is probably why she still likes Sesame Street and still likes drawing cows, either that, or it's because she's from Moo-nesota. One year she drew a cow a day, every day. That's 366 cow drawings! (It was leap year.) She's still drawing cows, and will probably never stop!

Her dream projects include making board books and novelty books for small children, and licensing her art for greeting cards, paper goods, and wall art, and lots of art with wicked-cute animals (and sometimes cows too)!
